Teaching with Blogs

There are many ways faculty can use blogs for teaching:

  • The faculty member maintains a website and the students post comments on the site
  • Students have their own websites and under the instructor’s guidance, create and publish content
  • Groups of students collaborate on a website

Academic Technologies offers several options for instructors who would like to use blogs as a teaching tool, including blogs integrated into Blackboard. The CU Blog Service provides a supported blogging service to Cornell faculty, staff, and students, and ePortfolios provide another tool for students to create and store content.
