LabArchives – FAQ

For all Users

How much data storage space do I get?

Currently, each LabArchives account is allocated 100gb of storage by default, however if additional space is needed, we can contact the vendor and have it increased.   The vendor will increase the space in increments of 100gb at a time.

How do I configure my mobile device to use LabArchives with my Cornell NetID?

After you have installed the mobile app on your phone, follow these instructions to configure LabArchives with Cornell NetID.

  1. From a browser on the mobile device, log into your LabArchives account on the website via NetID and password.
  2. Select “LA App Authentication” under the “User Management” menu
  3. A “Password token for external applications” screen will appear. The token can be used in lieu of a password to log into the account from the mobile app. However, keep in mind there is a time limit for this token when it can be used (which is one hour). But if the token expires, a new one can always be generated.

Once you go through this procedure for each external module or application, the authentication credentials will be stored and you will not have to enter in a new token each time, IF THE AUTOLOGIN SETTING FOR THE APP IS TURNED ON. If Autologin is not turned on, a new password token will have to be retrieved and used each time.
